Why Play Blackjack?
There are lots of great casino games you can begin to play if you are interested in gambling, and with the wide availability of high quality online casinos it is now easier than ever to get access to them. If you fancy playing a card game against other people rather than something you play on your own like slots, then a good choice if you are new to casino gaming (or even if you are not) is blackjack.
Blackjack puts you head to head with a dealer, but you play at a table which will usually have three or four other players at it (though this isn’t necessary so you can still play at an open table if it is quite). This means you can be social and play with others, but you only have to actually beat the dealer – you aren’t competing with the other players. This makes it a good game to play with friends, or a good way to make some new ones.
Blackjack is also a game you can usually join with quite low stakes. Tables have minimum stakes, which will usually be something like $5 or $10, and you simply join one that suit your budget. Because everyone at a table has independent bets, it doesn’t actually matter if you decide after a few hands you want to start placing much higher or lower bets or if someone else on your table does the same, as long as you bet the minimum for the table or more, it is completely up to you what you bet.
Blackjack is an easy game to learn with simple rules that vary very little between houses – the only thing that varies is on what value the dealer has to stand, and whether there are any side bets or bonuses available. This means that if you know how to play and have an idea of what the best choices to make with different hands are (known as ‘basic strategy’), you can play at any casino and will know what you are doing. With it being a game of chance, it doesn’t matter if you are playing for the first time or have been playing for years, you still have the same chance of winning (if you know basic strategy), and this means it is an accessible game you can play alongside people of all different experience levels as equal footed players.
